March 2023
Everyone loves turning their calendars over to March! Crocuses and daffodils pop up, the trees begin to bud, and runners and walkers head to Magic Island every Saturday morning for the Charleston Parkrun, anxious to enjoy being outdoors again!
The 7th annual Celtic Calling is an entertaining and informative celebration. Music, dance, and educational activities make it fun for the entire family. In 2022, this event set a Guinness World Record for the “Largest Gathering of People Wearing Unicorn Horns”! For a complete list of events and locations, check out the website: celticcalling.org.
“Mountain Stage” presents two incredible concerts this month at the WV Culture Center at the WV Capitol Complex. The Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences is the venue for two “Broadway in Charleston” performances in March! “Cats” and the “Riverdance 25th Anniversary Show” will both be on stage this month.
At the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center (the CC&CC), the Barstool Rough N Rowdy returns. Featuring as many as 20 fights, Mar. 3 promises to provide a lot of lively entertainment!
Movie buffs will enjoy the WVIFF Oscar Party. Taylor Books will be hosting the event. Guests can walk the red carpet, watch the actual awards show live, and enjoy plenty of food, a cash bar, and door prizes. This promises to be SO much more fun than watching the Oscars at home sitting on the couch!
With spring just around the corner, there is no better place to be than “Hip & Historic Charleston”!
HAPPY ST. PADDY’S DAY!!!
